General Information
Lee Academy continues to strive to provide the utmost in an independent school/college prep education. The course offerings are designed to nurture the growth of each student and to help him reach his potential as a student and as a citizen.
The Lower School strives to provide an environment free from pressure and anxiety where learning is not only developmentally appropriate, but also purposeful.
The Middle School is constantly striving toward strengthening and maintaining a unique middle school identity. This belief is based on our belief that adolescents should be taught in ways that celebrate their volatile and social age group and that encourage them to become responsible and productive adults.

- The teacher-student ratio at Lee Academy is 15-1.
- 98% of Lee students attend two or four year colleges.
- In the past Lee graduates have distinguished themselves as Rhodes Scholars and National Merit Scholars. Lee students consistently score above the national average on the ACT. Lee graduates have continued to emphasize that their high school background has enabled them to compete and excel in both college and career.
- Lee Academy welcomes students of every race, religion, and ethnic background to join the Lee Family and take part in the programs and activities offered.
Tuition
A non-refundable Registration Fee, which is deducted from the TOTAL TUITION (see schedule below), is due by February 28, 2012 for all returning students and at the time of acceptance and registration for new students. Faculty will be placed under contract according to the 2012-2013 registration numbers.
Enrollment contracts for RETURNING students received after February 28, 2012, must be accompanied by a $100.00 late registration fee. The late fee does not apply to new students.
All tuition is payable by either payment in full by June 1, 2012 (2% discount is given), or by monthly drafts from yoiur bank account which will be debited on the 15th of each month beginning June 15.

Fees
At the beginning of the school term in August book rental, workbook, activity and other fees will be assessed when the amount of these expenses has been determined. These fees vary according to the student's grade and course selection.
Financial Assistance & Scholarships
Financial aid is available for the 2012-2013 school year. Financial assistance is awarded to a student on the basis of the family's need. All students receiving financial aid must meet certain academic requirements and be fully registered. A special scholarship fund is available for minority students. Application materials are available in the school office.
